Coronavirus Updates

Update – Monday, March 16, 2020

Dear Students & Families,

In compliance with local and federal guidelines, and in the best interest of our students and families, we are cancelling classes effective Monday, March 16, 2020.  This is unfortunate but understandable during this health crisis.  We are hopeful that this will be short term.

Your Kicksite User Account Document and Video Libraries are an excellent resource during this cancellation.  If you are having trouble accessing or setting up your account, please reply to this message and we will work with you to get it activated.

We are also working on some other online resources in providing content to supplement in class training during this cancellation.  We anticipate sending information to you via email within the next few days.

In the meantime, we encourage you carve out some time in your day to practice your stretching and strengthening based on our class models you have experienced when attending at KTA.   Please be mindful if you decide to practice more technical aspects of Taekwondo in order to avoid typical challenges (practicing incorrectly which makes correction later more difficult, injuring yourself or others, and damaging property).

Further, clearly there are several videos and resources that may be helpful out there.  There are also some that are not so good.  If you have questions on particular videos or information, feel free to reply and I will let you know my recommendation.

I encourage you to continue to be patient and positive during this difficult time in our country.  My family and I continue to be prayerful and believe this situation is a temporary one.  We will get through this together!

Stay healthy and safe and we will continue to stay in touch!

March 15, 2020

Dear Students & Families,

As the situation involving the coronavirus (Covid-19) continues to change rapidly and the forecast is uncertain, I wanted to reach out to make you aware of how we are addressing it regarding our classes.  Your health and well-being are our top priority, which is why we’re taking the following actions:

  • If for any reason you are not comfortable attending classes due to this situation, please stay home.
  • If you have experienced any flu-symptoms in the past 14 days, which include fever, sore throat, coughing or shortness of breath, OR if you become sick please stay home and take necessary measures.  This is the case for any illness based on our student guidelines.
  • If you feel that you may have been exposed or in contact with anyone exposed, we also ask you stay home to avoid spreading illness to others.
  • We pledge to maintain our cleaning standards and will be doing additional wipe-downs which include the use of quaternary disinfectant.

The CDC has issued the following guidelines for prevention, and we do ask you to adhere to these during our classes:

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Thank you,
